My project includes Apache giant squash round objects along with small yellow flowers on the vine. Also, blue corn included in the back and sugar cane in the front of the farm. The plants represent common plants that a family in the food desert area would like to grow and do well. I choose to include the items in my project to help reconnect youth to their land by reintroducing plants that elders in the community love to eat.

In addition to the items includes, the brown ground represents the desert, the type of fencing represents the standard hand made fencing in the community for gardening. Finally, I added clouds representing the monsoon season, which most follow as a calendar for planting and the sun to remind us that water is precious.
